Top Baby Names in Nova Scotia for 2020

Updated: Aug 13, 2021

And the winner is:

Oliver

As of December 29, 2020 there were 6,856 registered births in Nova Scotia and 56 of those babies were named Oliver. The second most popular names for baby Bluenosers were Olivia (54) and a tie between Benjamin/William (48).

William had been the most popular Nova Scotia baby name in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and dropped to 11th spot in 2019. Landing in third spot in 2020 William placed ahead of last year's winner, Charlotte. Charlotte landed in 6th spot for 2020 with 41 Charlottes being born. Also ahead of Charlotte is Jack (47).
