Sofi Ka Lai Ma was last seen in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on January 2014. She is described as an Asian female with black hair and dark brown/black eyes. Born on August 3, 2011, Sofi was two years old at the time of her disappearance. This August 2023 she will be turning 12 years old.
Police are concerned for Sofi's safety and on February 13, 2014 a warrant was issued for her non-custodial father, Moses Ka Chun Ma. He is wanted for parental abduction and disobeying a court order. He is described as an Asian male with black hair and brown eyes. According to For the Lost he has multiple tattoos: a lion on his right shoulder, "Sofi" and "8-3-11" on his right shoulder, a filled in crown on his left shoulder, and a basketball in a hoop with “in ball I trust” on his left chest. He speaks English and Cantonese and may travel on a Hong Kong passport. Born on March 30, 1987 he was 26 years old on January 7, 2014 and would now (June 2023) be 36 years old.

According to an article on For the Lost, Sofi and her father, Moses, are believed to be in the Philippines, possibly in the company of Lorraine Vergara. Photos and vital statistics for Vergara are not available.
A Missing Kids caseworker states, "Sofi's mom is devastated at the thought of her daughter turning another year older - another birthday they cannot celebrate together. We must do more to reunite this mother and child."
The resources listed below were the only ones I could find regarding Sofi Ma's disappearance. I was shocked at how little information is out there about this case. There are no YouTube videos, no podcasts, and few articles. The articles that existed had the same basic information. If anyone out there finds more resources concerning Sofi Ma's disappearance please contact me.
