Girls Don't Like Dinosaurs is about a young girl who loves dinosaurs but is told that because she is a girl, this cannot be true.

Do you have a child in your life who would like to be an illustrator for Girls Don't Like Dinosaurs? Please have your child choose one illustration from the list at the end of this post where I describe exactly what I need for pictures and then go to this spreadsheet and claim that illustration by filling out your name, age and hometown.

When they have completed their masterpiece, please scan and email it to me at orangebonobocreativingwriting@gmail.com. If you prefer to just send in the paper copy of your child's drawing please contact me and I can send you my mailing address.

Your child can use any medium they prefer (watercolours, acrylic paints, crayons, markers, coloured pencils, digital drawing, etc). Please include your child's name, age and where they live so I can give credit to them!

Please note: Children will not receive monetary compensation for their drawings but will be published illustrators!

  2. Beth standing by Elliot in his backyard. Elliot is playing with his toy dinosaurs, and talking to Beth (so I picture Elliot sitting on the ground or kneeling and playing with his dinosaurs and Beth standing up)

  3. Full length picture of Beth in all of her clothes described above - we really want to see the dinosaurs on her hat, t shirt and shorts

  4. Elliot holding up his tyrannosaurus rex for Beth to see and Beth looking at it

  5. A full page picture of a t-rex

  6. Elliot holding up his triceratops for Beth to see and Beth looking at it

  7. A full page picture of a triceratops

  8. Elliot holding up his parasaurolophus for Beth to see and Beth looking at it

  11. A full page picture of a deinonychus

  12. Elliot holding up his diplodocus for Beth to see and Beth looking at it

  13. A full page picture of a diplodocus

  14. Elliot holding up his ankylosaurus for Beth to see and Beth looking at it

  15. A full page picture of an ankylosaurus

  16. Elliot holding up his pachycephalosaurus for Beth to see and Beth looking at it

  22. Picture of Beth and Elliot playing dinosaurs together in Elliot's backyard. Carter is standing there watching them. Beth is holding the pachycephalosaurus facing the ankylosaurus that Elliot is holding. (it looks like the dinosaurs are talking to each other the way Beth and Elliot are holding them together while they play).

  23. Beth and Elliot playing dinosaurs but Beth looking at Carter

  24. Beth and Elliot playing dinosaurs and both Beth and Elliot are looking at Carter

  25. Picture of Beth, Elliot and Carter all playing dinosaurs together

Happy drawing!
