Watch My First Short Film - Birthday!

I did it! I wanted to try my hand at screenwriting and I did it. Then I filmed my script! And then I edited that film and put it out there for the world to see!

Birthday was made possible by the AFCOOP (Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative) Film 1 program. FILM 1 is an education, production and mentorship program for beginner filmmakers ages 16 years and up. Participants are given the training and resources to create a one-minute film.

Part of the program is a public screening where we got to share our films with friends and family and anyone else who wanted to share in our creations. At the end of the screening the filmmakers were invited to take the floor to answer questions about our films and the journey we took to make them a reality. The questions and answer session was optional. Sitting in front of a crowd of people is not my thing and I chose to sit that part out. It was way out of my comfort zone at that time and while I believe growth comes from pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, I had already done so by participating in the FILM 1 program and sharing my first ever film with my classmates, mentors and the general public at a screening! I am so happy I did it! I am proud to share my first short film with you on the Orange Bonobo You Tube Channel.
