Madison is last seen around 7:30am getting into a grey Ford Ranger in Bathurst, New Brunswick
During the investigation it was discovered that after Madison was last seen in Bathurst, she was then seen in the Middle River area on May 11, 2021 and “considered alive at that point”.
Madison Roy Boudreau is reported missing to Bathurst Police Force at 11:18 pm by her father
May 12, 2021 - Police locate the grey Ford Ranger and keep it under surveillance
May 13, 2021 Police arrest the driver of the Ford Ranger and take him in to custody
May 16, 2021 - Police search a house and property in the Local Service District of South Tetagouche, west of Bathurst, New Brunswick based on information received during the investigation.
May 18, 2021 – Bathurst Police Force Police Chief, Stéphane Roy, releases a statement concerning Madison’s disappearance regarding the fact that an Amber Alert had not been activated. The Chief assured the public that an Amber Alert was considered but the 4 criteria that must be met in order to activate an Amber alert would not be met. However, very quickly, and with the assistance of the public, the Bathurst Police Force was able to identify, locate, and seize the grey Ford Ranger Truck that Madison was seen getting into on the morning of May 11, 2021. The vehicle is now in possession of the Bathurst Police Force.
At this time, the disappearance of Madison Roy-Boudreau is being treated and investigated as suspicious.
August 11, 2021 – Madison’s disappearance is ruled a homicide by the investigation team. Police have identified a primary suspect in her homicide but the suspect cannot be named as the case is still under investigation.
April 5, 2022 – A news release informs the public that the RCMP have taken lead of the investigation as evidence obtained placed Madison in Middle River, NB (which is RCMP jurisdiction) on May 11, 2021 after she was seen in Bathurst earlier that day.
There have not been any other updates regarding Madison’s disappearance but the investigation into her disappearance is ongoing and her case remains open.
Madison Roy Boudreau was 14 years old at the time of her disappearance. Her birthday is January 19, 2007. She is described as 5’4” tall, weighing 119 lbs, with brown eyes and medium length brown hair. Madison was last seen wearing a gray sweater, a pair of camouflage-coloured pants and a pair of silver-coloured shoes.
